We've had an incredible amount of snow in this part of Canada recently, and there is more to come. On Sunday morning, the chairs and table in our backyard had piles of snow on them. By early afternoon, it was a limitless snowscape with a few bumps reminding us where our chairs and table were buried underneath.

Hi Deb - Keith tells me you are the main "writer" of this tale, so I am addressing this to you. I "work" with Keith in Palm Harbor, Florida. He had his first opportunity to swim in the Gulf while I was staying with my kids and grandkids at a condo on Clearwater Beach. Your trip, and the pre-planning sound wonderful and so far hillarious. Please keep up the blog. I am so enchanted. I was on a trip to Italy in October and it would have been fun to do this. Take car. Hope the strip searches are at least interesting!
